1 World AIDS Day 10:00 am Breastfeeding Support Group Location: CRMC's Community Education Center-POB II Description: This group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 10 am to noon in CRMC's Community Education Center in POB II. This support group is designed for mothers and their babies who are currently breastfeeding. Please join the group to help answer questions you may have or to share success stories. For more information, contact coordinator, Sarah Hinson via e-mail - click here or by phone - 256-339-7189. 10:00 am EatRight Weight Management Services Program at CRMC - Harvest Class Location: Cullman Aquatics & Wellness Center - Aqua Room Description: One of the most successful weight management programs in the country is coming to Cullman, the UAB EatRight Lifestyle & Weight Management program. CRMC Registered Dietitians and Exercise and Fitness Trainers will teach new eating and exercising habits in a 12-week lifestyle-oriented weight control program that will put participants in control of their weight for life. Average weight loss for the program is 8 to 25 pounds, depending on the amount of weight the individual needs to lose. The program emphasizes foods such as whole fruits, vegetables, high-fiber foods, grains, lean meats, low-fat dairy products and heart-healthy fats. No specialty supplements or foods are used in this program. How much does it cost? $250 for the 12-week course - includes 12 weeks of professional instruction and supervision, EatRight course manual with all class materials, EatRight cookbook and FastFood Guide. Cullmann Room - POB II Community Education Center Description: This holiday season, the Cullman Regional Medical Center’s Foundation’s 18th annual Lights of Love Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will benefit Hospice of Cullman County. This annual ceremony allows members of Cullman and the surrounding area to honor or remember family and community members. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, December 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the Col. Cullmann Room at CRMC. Your gift of $20, $40, $60 or more will place a light on the tree as a tribute to someone special to you. Your tax-deductible gift will help support CRMC’s Hospice of Cullman County in its continuing effort to provide excellent end-of-life care to everyone in our community. Acknowledgement cards will be sent to those you have honored and to the families of those being remembered. Please only one acknowledgement per contribution. All contributors are invited to the tree lighting ceremony to view a presentation with the names of those being honored or memorialized. Attendees can enjoy holiday music and light refreshments during this meaningful ceremony. This year, special music will be provided by the Cantani Women's Ensemble in honor and memory of Dr. Herman Ensor for his many years of service to the CRMC Foundation and support of Hospice of Cullman County.
