Comprehensive Care and Dedication The Oncology Center of Cullman Regional Medical Center is a modern facility staffed by highly trained physicians, nurses and radiation therapists, specializing in the early detection and treatment of cancer. The center's services range from cancer screenings and education for early detection and prevention, to comprehensive radiation therapy. With the Tumor Registry (certified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer), the center maintains complete histories on all patients to ensure proper diagnoses and treatments. Our goal is to provide individually oriented, compassionate care that uses the latest methods and procedures in radiation treatment. Our staff is dedicated to providing the best health care possible in a friendly, close to home environment. The Oncology Resource Center Education and Expertise In addition to diagnosis and treatment, the Oncology Center provides opportunities for patient and community education. Many of these opportunities can be found in the Oncology Resource Center. The resource center is a library complete with computer terminals. It contains a wide variety of journals, videos, periodicals and test books, and offers access to the latest medical information to cancer patients, patient families or other members of the public. Computer terminals offer a link to the National Cancer Institute's CancerNet. CancerNet enables physicians to maintain their expertise through clinical updates and the latest research and technology. Others find it to be an invaluable educational tool. Our friendly staff is happy to assist people in accessing these resources. Other Services Other Services The Oncology Center offers dietary and social services. Through CRMC's extensive support group network, patients are given the assistance and encouragement they need. CRMC's Oncology Center is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer.  Oncology Report 2006 |
