One-Day Surgery Center

Cullman Regional Medical Center's One-Day Surgery Unit offers a broad range of outpatient surgery procedures backed by experienced surgeons, nurses, and a support staff using the latest diagnostic and surgical technology.

The One-Day Surgery program is for patients whose surgery can safely be performed without requiring the inconvenience or expense of an overnight hospital stay. The program offers the added advantage of the hospital's support services and immediate availability of in-house admission.

When You Arrive
Upon arrival at the hospital, a surgery consent form must be signed. For patients under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign the form. Occasionally you may be called at home and asked to arrive earlier or later because of emergencies. Please be prompt.

After Surgery

Please bring only one visitor (including family members) per patient. Arrangements should be made for someone to stay with you overnight (at home). When discharged, according to your physician's orders, you will receive post-operative instructions. A nurse will call you the following day to review your instructions and progress, as well as answer questions you may have. If you have problems, please call your physician. In the event your physician is not available, call the emergency room at 737-2100. Help is available at this number 24-hours-a-day.
