CRMC Support Groups

Cullman Regional Medical Center is proud to offer the following support programs to assist people struggling with various ailments.

Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group
Find meaningful advice and support from a community of your fellow caregivers. This group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Ave Maria Room located in CRMC’s Community Education Center in POB II. Adult Diabetes Support Group
Anyone interested in learning more about Adult Diabetes is invited to attend this meeting. This group meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Ave Maria Room in the CRMC Community Education Center in POB II. For additional information contact the Diabetes Care Center at 737-2025.

Bosom Buddies Support Group
This group meets the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Ave Maria Room in CRMC's Community Education Center in POB II. This group offers support to individuals and those affected by breast cancer. Contact coordinator Mary Dyer at 734-8729.

Breastfeeding Support Group
This group meets the first Tuesday of each month 10 a.m. to noon in CRMC’s Community Education Center in POB II. This support group is designed for mothers and their babies who are currently breastfeeding. Please join us for questions and success stories. Contact the CRMC Nursery for additional information at 737-2221.

CPAP Support Group
CPAP meetings are held twice yearly in CRMC's Community Education Center in POB II and supports those who are on Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Treatment. This group is open to anyone who would be interested in learning more about the treatment of Apnea. Contact coordinator Patrick Starnes at 737-2797 or via e-mail for more information.

"Cycles" Grief Support Group
CRMC’s Hospice of Cullman County offers the “Cycles” Grief Support Group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. This group meets on case by case, as needed basis. Look Good/Feel Better Program
This support group, sponsored by American Cancer Society and CRMC, meets bi-monthly at the Cullman Oncology Center from 10 a.m.–noon the second Monday of each month. This free service teaches oncology patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help them cope with appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatments, provided by certified/trained cosmetologists. This is a non-medical service that does not promote any cosmetic product line. For additional information, call coordinator Monique Smith at 734-4666.

Narcolepsy/Idiopathic Hypersomnia Support Meeting
This group meets in CRMC’s Community Education Center in POB II. Date, time and room vary based on the group’s needs. For additional information, contact the Sleep Center at 737-2140 or via e-mail.

Ostomy Support Group
This group offers mutual aid and support for people who are learning to live with or care for someone with an ostomy. This group meets the second Monday of each month from noon-2 p.m. in the CRMC Community Education Center located in POB II. For additional information contact cordinator Debbie Burgess via e-mail or contact Kelly Burnham at 737-2612.

Prostate Cancer Support Group
This group is for patients and anyone they would like to include with the discussion. The group meets on an as needed basis at 5:30 p.m. in the CRMC Community Education Center located in POB II. HealthTalks

The health education of our community is important to us at Cullman Regional Medical Center. To promote a greater understanding of wellness and an awareness of the health care issues that confront us today, CRMC offers HealthTalks as a service to our community. These informative presentations - given by CRMC health care professionals-encompass a wide variety of health care issues.
